As every Friday, we bring our suggestions of plans for the weekend. This time, the music will be the main protagonist of our proposals.
To help our Spanish course students spend a nice weekend, alternating rest with leisure and cultural plans, we leave below some useful information.

GoTheJazz 2021
Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27
Jardines de Villa Eugenia, Godella
One of the essential appointments of the summer cultural agenda arrives.
This weekend, GoTheJazz, the Godella Jazz Festival, will celebrate its 9th edition in the gardens of the Villa Eugenia Art Center.
If you like jazz, you cannot miss these three nights of open-air concerts in a charming space.
On the GoTheJazz stage, the following bands will perform:
– Folkenjazz – Ximo Caffarena Quartet (Friday 25, 10.30 p.m.). Musical band that combines jazz with tradition
– Martirio y Chano Domínguez (Saturday 26, 10.30 p.m.). Concert that pays tribute to the Cuban artist Bola de Nieve.
– Big Band del Casino Musical de Godella (Sunday 27, 8 p.m.). As a tradition, the Big Band will close the festival.
Serenates 2021

We continue with our musical journey, reaching this time one of the most beautiful cultural centres in Valencia.
The Cloister of La Nau, will host until July 1 the XXXIV edition of Serenates. One of the oldest music festivals in Valencia.
Tonight, the Orchestra of Valencia will play a repertoire dedicated to the anniversary of José i Amparo i Turbi. Tomorrow, Saturday 26, Pablo Milanés, internationally renowned musician, will give a concert in intimate format.
Finally, on Sunday the 27th, the play This is your judgment by the composer Llum Martí will be premiered during the show Distopia.

Swingloide Trio, a musical group with experience in musicalizing movies, will offer us an entertaining show, suitable for all kinds of audiences.
In these two sessions, we will enjoy the musical accompaniment to the films Policemen and One Week of Buster Keaton.
An original experience that will take us to the fantastic years of silent films.

Mercado de Autoras

La Escuela de Ruzafa, Calle Dénia 32

As you know, Ruzafa is a lively neighbourhood where art is plentiful. In addition to its most famous festivals, the neighbourhood often hosts events throughout the year that promote creative projects, the work of local artists and crafts.
This weekend, the Ruzafa School presents Market of Authors. Two days in which art and creativity will be celebrated through talks, workshops and jam sessions.
Among the different activities, we highlight some, such as the watercolour and gold leaf workshop (Saturday, 6.30 p.m.) taught by Arte43, the poetry jam (Saturday, 7.30 p.m.) and the writing workshop (Sunday, 1 p.m.).
In addition to the activities, it will be possible to buy quality artisan products at the craft market. All this accompanied by good music and picoteos.
