If you have run out of plans after the Christmas holidays, take a look at the blog of our Spanish school, El Rincón del Tándem. For this weekend, we have selected concerts and other events in Valencia. 😊

This new year starts with a very diverse and rich cultural agenda. From all the proposals, we have chosen a couple of concerts and other events in Valencia.

So that students of our Spanish school can enjoy the cultural life of our city and practice their Spanish in everyday life, we leave below our suggestions for this weekend.

Let’s see them in details!

The second edition of Música en construcción starts tomorrow. An important initiative that promotes the young promises of Valencian music.

The duo Euphussion, made up of Jordi Roca (percussion) and Luís Sellés (euphonium) will premiere this edition with a repertoire that combines themes from the 19th century with contemporary works from the Valencian, Spanish and international music scene.

In addition, the concerts of this cycle will take place in the Sala Alfonso el Magnánimo. A marvellous neo-Byzantine style chapel whose charm will leave you speechless.

Finally, to enjoy this musical evening, you must book in advance on the Beneficencia’s website.

Quino, Mafalda y mucho más

Till January 30, from Monday to Sunday, from 11am to 6pm
Edificio del Reloj del Puerto de Valencia

The historic clock building of the Port of Valencia pays tribute to Quino and his work with this fantastic exhibition.

Quino, Mafalda y mucho más brings together more than 200 Mafalda cartoons, advertising posters and audiovisuals.

The exhibition offers the public an overview of the work of Joaquín Salvador Lavador Tejón (Quino), the Argentinian cartoonist, while celebrating his critical and committed point of view.

The journey into Quino’s world is made up of three parts. Quino’s Humour, which tells us about the meaning of his art, while at the same time bringing us closer to the technical aspects of his work. Mafalda, which brings together some of his most famous character’s cartoons and his faithful friends Manolitos, Felipe, Guille, etc.

And finally, the Tribute to Quino, a session dedicated to the awards received by the author.
