The weekend is approaching and at our Spanish school we are getting ready to enjoy leisure and culture in Valencia.
In our small selection of music and art in Valencia, you will find all the elements to make your weekend plans.

This weekend, The Basement is back to give us fantastic days of music and nature.
This festival, which is committed to sustainability, is held in the natural surroundings of Montanejos in the province of Castellón.
The three days of the festival will be filled with electro, house, garage, etc. rhythms thanks to the performances of Spanish and international DJs. Among them, Craig Richards, Fumiya Tanaka and Dorian Paic.
In addition to good music, you will be able to enjoy natural surroundings with many charms, workshops and, of course, the local gastronomy.
The area dedicated to the festival also has a camping area, bus service and all kinds of services.

Free activity
The Valencia Fine Arts Museum is celebrating International Museum Day (18 May) with a programme of special activities, including this free workshop.
During the activity, the visual artist Tina McCallan will guide us in the collective recreation of the work Garden Jug with Flowers by the Flemish artist Gaspar Pieter Verbruggen. This work has recently been incorporated into the Museum.
The artist already has experience of running similar workshops at venues such as the National Gallery in London and the Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts in Glastonbury.
The activity requires the participation of 100 people. Each participant will be responsible for painting one of the squares into which the huge canvas is divided.
The activity is free and will take place on Friday from 10.30am to 2.00pm, Saturday from 10.30am to 2.00pm and from 4.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Les Arts a l’IVAM

The initiative Les Arts a l’IVAM was born from the collaboration between the Centro de Perfeccionamiento del Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia and the IVAM. The initiative aims to create synergies between the arts and promote a multifaceted and open culture.
Les Arts a l’IVAM consists of a series of performances by the students of the Centro de Perfeccionamiento in the museum’s Carmen Alborch Auditorium. All the concerts are related to some of the Museum’s exhibitions.
Finally, the concert is part of the programme launched by the IVAM on the occasion of the International Museum Day, under the slogan “the power of museums”.

El Aperitivo de Muviment

The Muviment initiative continues to liven up our Valencian weekends with the irresistible combination of live music and gastronomy.
This weekend, the terrace of the Muviment will be filled with good music:
– The Jazz Brunch. Saturday 21st starting at 12.00h. Aperitif with a concert by the band Host Jazz Union.
– Versioneando. Sunday 22nd at 12.00h. Aperitif accompanied by the band Bloody Mary.
