As every Friday, we have selected some Valencian plans to help our students of the Spanish course fully enjoy this lively July in Valencia.
Below you will find very diverse and, at the same time, “very Valencian” plans that will make you have fun and appreciate Valencian peculiarities.

Guided Visits by Menta

When you think you’ve seen everything in Valencia, you always find out that there are hidden treasures to be discovered…
If you want to deeply know two essential monuments of Valencian arts and society, we encourage you to join the guided visits.
To begin with, you can visit the Church of San Nicolás, also known as “The Valencian Sistine Chapel”, contemplating its incredible frescoes and its architectural beauties.
Then, you will go to the Silk Museum (Museo de la Seda), to know everything about silk in Valencia: its origins, evolution of the fabric, work tools, guilds, etc. You will learn the fundamental role of silk in the commercial and economic development of the city.
The two visits will be guided by professionals of the Menta project, who will accompany you to explain everything in detail and to answer your questions.

Exposición “European Puzzle”

We continue traveling in time and space with this photographic exhibition at the Center del Carmen.
Through the black and white look of the photographer Jean-Christophe Béchet, we will travel throughout Europe, meeting squares, corners and poetic images of profound social meaning.
The exhibition of the work of the French photographer takes place in the framework of the Cultural Season of the French Institute of Spain 2019, under the slogan “We Europe”.
In fact, the exhibition will invite us to reflect on borders and identities, filling us with a sense of solidarity and unity.
Therefore, among meals, rest and fun, we invite you to make some time to know this work that will make us travel cross borders.

If you like to make plans in the Marina area, note down this event in your agenda!
This Saturday night, you will be able to enjoy free concerts starting at 8:00 pm to the freshness of the sea breeze. The music program foresees the performance of groups that will play repertoires for all tastes; jazz, soul, cumbia, pop, etc.
And like the cherry on top, the Piromusical pyrotechnics show will give a special touch of light and colour to this evening full of music.
In short, we remember that this event is part of the Feria de Julio program. The most important summer festival of the city.

Cloachella: Clòtxinas, music and paella
Sauturday, 13th and Sunday 14th. From 12 pm to 4 pm and from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm.

Cloachella offers a perfect combination of three key elements of the Valencian culture: clòtxinas, music and paella.

Like almost every weekend, the Tapineria Market proposes a new plan that will leave us relaxed and ready to start the week with renewed energies 🙂
In one of the spaces of reference of the Valencian lively social life, we will be able taste typical products, accompanied by live music and arts, and DJs sessions.
Also, we enjoy more when we help out for a good cause.
In fact, the event participates in the Magic Napkins initiative promoted by the Asindown Association, which, under the slogan “I do not change you for anyone” promotes the labour inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
