If you are looking for plans this weekend, we recommend going to some circus, music and gastronomy events. Read the blog of our Spanish school El Rincón del Tándem to know more 😉
Time to rest and discover more about Valencia through circus, music and gastronomy has come.
Therefore, we have selected some very interesting events so that our Spanish course students can make the most of their time in Valencia.
Let’s see in detail what the city offers this weekend 🙂
VII Valencirc
From the 4th to the 13th of October
Patraix square and Palau de la Música Gardens
Free shows
Do you need to get out of the routine and live extraordinary moments of pure magic? Well, this weekend you will have the chance to roar with liberating laughter and to marvel at Valencirc.
Valencirc is a circus festival promoted by the Finestra Nou Circ, a company that since 2012 has been successfully developing cultural and social projects about circus.
This seventh edition comes with a varied proposal and adapts itself to all types of audiences and ages. The program includes shows for children and adults, night programs, juggling workshops with recycled material, shows with fire and Circus Olympics.
Furthermore, the festival foresees social circus activities and European youth exchanges, starred by people with functional diversity and young people at risk of social exclusion from Italy and Spain.
In total, the program includes 30 free activities that will take place at the Patraix square and at the Gardens of Palau de la Música, during 10 days.
Here below, we highlight the shows planned for this weekend:

Maris Galicia
From the 4th to the 27th of October. From 12.30 pm. To 4.30 pm. And from 7.30 pm. to 11.30 pm.
Port area
Free entrance
If you are passionate about gastronomy and you are craving seafood, you cannot miss this event.
The MarisGalicia offers us a unique opportunity to try the best recipes of traditional Galician food … and without leaving Valencia 😉
This fair has been getting so popular to become the largest itinerant gastronomic event in Spain.
A 1000 square meter tent installed in the Port area, in front of Tinglado 4, will host this event until the end of October.
Upon entering, we advise you to take a walk through the various stands to be able to see everything the fair offers and to choose well among all the delicacies. In this gastronomic walk, you will find assortments of breads and pies, varieties of rice, mussels, etc.
You can also attend the preparation of some traditional recipes, such as pulpo a feira, the Galician star dish…
Finally, on the weekends, there will be performances by bagpipe groups and other activities that will allow us to get to know the Galician culture better.
A plan to enjoy a delicious meal and expand your knowledge of Spanish cuisine 🙂
Tapas del Mundo
Saturday 5th. 1.30 pm.
Festinar, Calle del Doctor LLuch 46
Free entrance
This beautiful initiative that allows us to know other cultures through gastronomy is still taking place.
Tapas de Mundo stems from the collaboration between Festinar and Valencia Acoge to create a meeting place between cultures.
In fact, migrant women from different countries will let us know other customs through the typical flavours of their countries of origin.
If you want to enjoy a different meal and meet new people, this is your ideal plan!
Jazz Climàtic: Alfie Capovi Trio
Saturday 5th at 7.30 pm.
Botanic Garden, Calle Quart 80
Ticket: 5 euros
Between a drink, a delicious meal, a chat with friends, there is always place for some music 😉
Therefore, we recommend this Jazz concert in the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia. The Alfie Capovi Trio will play their music project Flight, that combines classical jazz with more modern sounds.
The concert is part of the Jazz Climàtic cycle. A musical initiative promoted by the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia and carried out in collaboration with the musicians of Sedajazz.
As the name explains, this year the musical project is committed to the issue of climate change and its dissemination to the public.
To buy your ticket, you have to go to the box office of the Botanic Garden.
A beautiful way to raise awareness through the universal language of music….
As always, we hope this blog helps you spend a beautiful weekend in Valencia, between circus, music and gastronomy.
Also, do not miss the opportunity to learn Spanish outside the classroom, by making new friends.
Besides, we remind you that the celebrations for October 9 continue. To learn more about this party, go back to our blog 😉
Finally, our Spanish school El Rincón del Tándem in Valencia wishes you a fantastic weekend.
See you Monday!
