Therefore, we have selected some events that will make you know the cultural richness of Valencia. That is, a combination of local traditions, emerging cultural expressions and arts and customs from migrant communities.

VII Mostra Viva del Mediterrani – Moroccan cooking workshop

Are you a cooking lover, always in search of new recipes? In this case, you’re going to have a great time with this workshop 🙂
This cooking workshop is part of the program of the VII Mostra Viva del Mediterrani. An event that celebrates the meeting between the Mediterranean countries through gastronomy, education, visual arts, circus, dance, music and writing.
The workshop is organized by Cocinas Migrantes, a nice initiative that promotes interculturality through the gastronomy – migration nexus. There are many activities of this project that we advise you to learn about in order to get closer to the richness and cultural diversity of Valencia …
The workshop will be provided by Sofia Elouali, head chef of the Marrakech restaurant in Valencia and will take place in Drassanes 52. A very dynamic cultural space in the heart of Cabanyal neighbourhood.

If you feel like ending your weekend with something fun, do not hesitate to attend this event!
On Sunday afternoon, the chapel of Convent Carmen will host this film and live music session. In fact, the Swingloïde Trio will give sounds to silent movie images, playing a repertoire of swing manouche.
This session pays tribute to the great actor and director Buster Keaton and the movies Cops and One week.

Almuerzo Cultural: King Cool

We continue highlighting original initiatives, stemming from the encounter of different arts.
The cultural almuerzo combines gastronomy and various forms of emerging arts to liven up our Sunday mornings.
Next to the sea, we can enjoy an authentic Valencian almuerzo, in the company of groups of young local talents. This Sunday, the King Cool band will be the absolute protagonist of the stage and will play for us a repertoire of pop, rock and blues classics.
The entrance to the event is free. In case you want to fully enjoy the experience, you can get you almuerzo. It will include a gourmet sandwich, a snack and a drink for 6 euros.
A perfect occasion to socialize and enjoy “tasty” Valencian customs 😉
Milongas de Tango

Free outdoor event
This weekend, the Club Tango of the Valencian Community organizes a series of free milongas in public spaces of the city.
On the occasion of the XII International Tango Meeting in Valencia, the club will offer us the opportunity to practice tango for free … or simply to try to learn the most basic steps 😉
It doesn’t matter if you are a professional, an amateur or even that you don’t know this dance at all. In any case, we suggest you to attend this event as a dancer or spectator to learn more about what the dance that has already been declared an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
