For this weekend we have selected some events that will make you enjoy architecture, photo and dance in Valencia. Take a look at the blog of our Spanish school, El Rincón del Tándem, to know more 😊
This weekend, architecture, photo and dance are the main elements of our cultural proposals.
So that the students of our Spanish school can continue to know Valencia and its most interesting artistic and cultural initiatives, we leave here some useful information.
Let’s see them in detail!
Open House Valencia
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24
Several venues
Activities with prior reservation
Open House Valencia is an interesting initiative whose objective is to bring the public closer to architecture.
It is a multidisciplinary project that promotes new ways to appreciate and get to know the most beautiful buildings and architectural works in the city.
During the next two days, we will have the opportunity to know better the Valencian architecture by the hand of experts, through the following activities:
– Guided visits to buildings. More than 50 buildings in Valencia open their doors so that the public can visit them and know them by the hand of their own architects or other experts. Among them, the Rialto Building, the Central Market, the old Tobacco Factory, etc.
– Open Walks. Thematic urban routes. Thanks to the explanations of architects, it will be possible to know the architectural history of emblematic places.
– Audio-visual content. Digital repertoire of documentaries, interviews, open-film and archives on Valencian architecture.
– Virtual international events.
Finally, the festival organizes the first edition of Open Photo. A creative photography contest of photos related to the festival and its activities. Everyone can participate. Shall you bring yourself to participate? 😊
To know more about all the proposals and competitions of the festival and to make your reservation, we invite you to visit the festival webpage.

As in previous years, Valencia hosts one of the key events of the cultural agenda of our city. And of course, an event that our Spanish school will not miss 😊
As for previous editions, the Chirivella Soriano Foundation will host the latest edition of World Press Photo exhibition. One of the most prestigious and well-known photojournalism exhibitions in the world.
The exhibition consists of the photographs and the series awarded in this year’s contest.
As always, they will offer us a window into the world, visually narrating the most significant and relevant social, cultural, political and economic events and phenomena of the year 2020.

The Circuito Bucle Danza celebrates its ninth edition at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea del Carmen. The Refectory Hall and the Gothic Cloister of the Centre will be the stage for the scenic programming and other festival activities.

If you like contemporary dance, do not miss the opportunity to spend a nice weekend enjoying it.
Finally, we remind you that the program of the Mostra de València continues and that it is still possible to visit the Book Fair in the Gardens of Viveros.

We hope our post on architecture, photo and dance in Valencia will help you make plans for the weekend.
As always, we encourage you to continue practicing your Spanish outside the classroom, learning new words and expressions of common use.

See you soon!
