As every year Feria de Julio is the main event of summer 2018 in Valencia. During the whole month of July hundreds of activities are taking place all around the city. In our article we are presenting you events for the following week. If you don’t have any plans for July yet, read on to find out when and where to be.
Feria de Julio has been celebrated since 1871 and the program includes hundreds of activities for all ages in different neighborhoods in Valencia. Fireworks, theater plays, exhibitions, magic performances, dance shows, workshops, concerts etc.
From Monday to Thursday at 10 pm there is a summer cinema outside the Museum of Illustration and Modernity (MuVIM). On Thursday July 12 you can watch the cult movie Perfectos Desconocidos which is a perfect way to boost your Spanish learning. Another important place of the events is the garden next to Palau de la Música. On Wednesday July 11 at 10 pm enjoy an outdoor comedy theater No te vistas para cenar by Saga Teatro and on Thursday at 10 pm the Beatles concert (female voices).
From Thursday to Sunday from 7 pm till midnight don’t miss the wine tasting in Plaza Ayuntamiento. From Friday to Sunday at 10 am go and watch the Beach Football Trophy of the city of Valencia at Valencia beach (Cabanyal neighborhood).
On Saturday July 14 at 7 pm one of the main events starts – La Nit a la Mar (Night by the Sea). A series of concerts will be followed by a pyromusical show at 1 am. Here you can see the official program of Feria de Julio in English.
The inseparable part of the feria is the amusement park in the Turia park, next to the Puente de las Flores. It’s a must visit, especially if you have kids. Among all the attractions, one definitely stands out – the Ferris wheel with a wonderful view of Valencia city.
