As every Friday the time has come for our students of the Spanish course to rest and enjoy leisure and culture in Valencia.
At our Spanish school El Rincón del Tandem we like to know what is happening in Valencia cultural scene during the weekend. So let yourself be inspired by our suggestions!

La Pérgola de la Marina
One of the essential musical events of the summer cultural agenda is back!
The music festival Surforama celebrates this year its seventeenth edition in the Pergola de la Marina.
If you love rock and all possible combinations with other styles (surf, blues, swing, etc.), this weekend you can satisfy your musical desires.
The programme of the festival brings together well-known names from the Spanish music scene. In the charming setting of the Pergola, groups such as Tiburona (Punk’n’ roll), Los Malinches (Latin freakbeat and psychedelic surfing) and Los Mejillones Tigre will perform.
A cheerful musical proposal animated by DJ sessions, foodtrucks and very good atmosphere 😊

Festival ENDOA

Teatro Circulo, Calle Prudenci Alcón i Mateu 3
Last Wednesday the third edition of the ENDOA Festival begun.
ENDOA is an interesting cultural proposal that focuses on the dialogue between the performing arts projects from Spain and Latin American countries.
This year, under the slogan “Abismos”, the festival has selected 12 stage proposals from Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and El Salvador.
Let’s see in detail this weekend’s programming:
- Friday 2 at 8 p.m. Helliot, by Mobile Dance and Alterations Dance Theatre. A piece of contemporary dance about the unicity of human beings
- Saturday 3 at 8 p.m. El Alimentos de las moscas by Kabia Teatro y Teatre de l’Enjòlit. A theatre piece on the fate of a convict.
- Sunday 4 at 8 p.m. La mar de lejos, by Tras el Trapo. Collective works that tells us about the difficulties of migratory processes.

Sedajazz Ensemble & Arahi Martínez

This Sunday we will have the opportunity to enjoy one of our favourite musical genres: jazz.
In fact, the Teatro Principal in Valencia will host a lively musical evening. This concert was born from the collaboration between the Cuban artist Arahi Martínez and Sedajazz, a collective composed of renowned musicians from the local and national jazz scene.
Finally, this concert will have the honour of premiering the XXIV edition of the Valencia Jazz Festival that will make us enjoy the best jazz until the end of July.
It sounds too good to miss it, doesn’t it? 🙂

Here goes a very good proposal to close the weekend with joy and charge get energy to start a new week.
Sons debat is a musical project led by Pau Barberá and composed of 9 other members from different backgrounds.
Its folk repertoire will take us on a musical journey through the Mediterranean, crossing the entire Iberian Peninsula. Specifically, we will hear traditional songs from Valencia and Catalonia, versions of traditional Basque themes, and more themes with typical sounds of Celtic and Breton music.
Finally, this concert is part of the Festiva Polirritmia. A world music festival that comes to delight us with a very varied musical proposals that will take place in July summer nights of Valencia.
