For this last weekend of May, we have selected some live music concerts and creative workshops in Valencia.
After a week of Spanish classes, it’s time for our students to enjoy the rest and the Valencian cultural life.

Las inmersiones de la Batisfera: Lili del Sol
Friday 27 at 8pm

Las inmersiones de la Batisfera is a new musical project organised by the bar-bookshop la Batisfera.
This beautiful gastro-cultural space hosts a series of concerts in an intimate format in which the public can enjoy live performances by artists from the local music scene.
This Friday la Batisfera proposes a musical journey to Latin America with the performance of Lili del Sol. The Colombian composer and performer will play her own repertoire of songs in which Latin folk and traditional Colombian music blend with contemporary sounds.

Botanic Crea. Talleres Creativos en el Botánico
From May 27 to June 12
Jardín Botánico de la Universidad de Valencia, Calle Quart 80
Botanic Crea is a beautiful initiative that celebrates the beauty and charm of this urban forest through art.
The project consists of a series of artistic workshops where participants develop their creativity inspired by nature.
In fact, during three weekends, professionals from different artistic disciplines will give workshops on various techniques. These include watercolours, printing, ceramics, engraving, etc.
This weekend will be held:
– Watercolour workshop “Garden portraits”.
Friday 27th from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday 28th from 10m to 20pm
– Engraving workshop “Stamping the plant world”.
Friday from 4pm to 6pm and Saturday from 11am to 2pm and from 4pm to 6pm.

Serialparc
Jardín de las Hespérides, Calle Beato Gaspar Bono s/n

Serialparc is a cycle of concerts that promotes the green spaces and gardens of the city of Valencia.
In fact, these Sunday sessions take place in emblematic parks and other lesser-known parks (but just as beautiful as the former ) in the city… 😊
This Sunday, we will have the pleasure of discovering the Jardín de las Hespérides, where El Buen Hijo, Fran Nixon and Sierra Leona will be performing.
The Garden, which takes its name from the myth of the Hesperides, tells us about this Greek tale through its design and sculptures. A charming corner that is well worth visiting…

Lecuona el color de Cuba + Latin Soul Organ Quartet
Sunday 29 at 6.30pm

We close our little tour of the weekend’s events with this double concert in the Sala Matisse.
This Sunday night the hall will be filled with Latin rhythms and jazz thanks to:
– The project “Leucona, the colour of Cuba” (6.30pm).
The musical group, made up of piano, alto saxophone and flute, pays tribute to the Cuban musician who introduced the term “Afro-Cuban” into Cuban music.
– Latina Soul Quartet (8pm). A concert inspired by the Latin sounds of New York, enlivened with funky rhythms, jazz and blues.
